'It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, and then it makes you cheer' - The Times
It's Calendar Girls - with songs!
This great new musical comedy, based on the true story of a group of W.I. ladies who do the unthinkable for charity, is the result of a collaboration between two long-time friends who grew up in Frodsham, Cheshire (where Daniel Craig's dad ran the local pub). One of them is Tim Firth, celebrated playwright, screen and songwriter and author of Calendar Girls and Kinky Boots. The other is Ivor Novello–award–winning songwriter Gary Barlow, of Take That and X Factor fame. Tim had the story, Gary had the music; they put the two together, and a new show was born.
After rave reviews in Leeds and Salford, the show has now moved to the West End and is playing to great acclaim at the Phoenix Theatre. This very special exclusive Omega weekend break includes a return standard class rail ticket to London and a Grand Circle ticket for the show's Saturday afternoon matinee, with a pre–show talk by one of the show's creative directors, a complimentary show programme per booking/couple and a glass of wine, beer or soft drink on the house, plus a Saturday night stay at a choice of 4 star central London hotels with a full English breakfast to follow on Sunday. You can book in to the hotel for an extra night (Friday or Sunday) for just £69.95pp per night, and upgraded show tickets are also available at a supplement.
